Movie : Changeling

I'd been interested in this movie since I saw the trail on TV when I was in the US.

"I want my son back!!" This is what I could hear when I saw the trial. At that time I totally relied on closed captions with most TV programs so I hardly understood what they said on commercials. My hearing ability sucked just a year ago.
First I thought it was some kind of a horror movie, a missing boy turned to be a monster or something...no way, I know. But seriously that's why I didn't go to see it at the movie theater.

Then many other interesting movies came out and I started forgetting about this movie. After I came back to Japan, CHANGELING became available in here too. And I remembered that I always wanted to see this movie! Since today is my day off from work, I could spend enough time to see it though it was a long story.

The story took plane in Lon Angeles, 80years ago. I don't know whether it was real back then or just an image of this movie, the air in LA didn't seem to be so "dry" in this movie. If these scenes were shoot in Hollywood, I guess it was really difficult to make out this sad and deep atmosphere because LA is always happy and light!


By the way, today would be my last day off in the first half of November. I will be on duty (?) 17 days in a row from tomorrow. We are going join a big flower show called IFEX (International Flower Expo) in Tokyo next week, and have a lot of guests during the show from all over the world. Starting from this Friday, I'll eat out in a fancy restaurant with my guests every night. Of course I will be happy to speak English all day long but it must kill me sooner or later.

I'm not sure when I'm able to see you guys next time, but at least, I'm gonna enjoy the rest of today.

This is a view you would see on the way to my former rent home in Virginia.

I found this shot in my stock pictures.

Sometimes I took a rest on a bench in this small play ground while I walked back home from the Metro station.
I thought this was an "everyday scenery" and didn't feel special about it at the time.
Now I know I totally took it for granted.

The sky from Virginia was so precious.
All the houses were simple and tidy, and made me happy to look at.
Felt like the time pasted much slower than anywhere in Virginia.

Complete Star Wars

I've done watching the whole episodes of Star Wars. Yes, now. And I have never done that before. I didn't know anything about Star Wars.

As I'm into American culture, I realize it is necessary to be familiar with Star Wars, because the essence from this movie series is everywhere. Comedy shows, sitcoms, cartoons, even people's conversation, it is hard to understand and truly enjoy them without Star Wars knowledge.

Now I know who Luke is, what Obi-Wan looks like, how Yoda is strong, and when Princess Laiya wears gold bikini thing! Oh oh and Anakin guy is so handsome!
